Movie

Today, I am going to start filming a movie. It’s not named yet, and it is kinda actually hard to describe. But I will keep a bit of a journal to let y’all know how it is going. I’ll post once tonight, once tomorrow morning, once tomorrow evening, once Sunday morning, and once Sunday evening. Sound good?

Invest

Last night, I went to the Ab, a local bar at York University, and while I was sitting with old friends listening the entertainer who was playing old songs like the Beatles and the Stones alone on stage with people dancing in front of him. What a rush he was having while he saw people really enjoying him even in his loneliness on stage.
I had a chance to connect with two friends that I have not gotten to know as well as others, and I realised that life is not worth picking an choosing who you get to know based on a little bit of information. One friend and I do not really have that much in common, but we found some interesting things (we both love The Black Keys).
So, always be interested in peoples lives, and if we’re all like this, it will be mutually beneficial.

Better Days

I am sure they’re on the way, but they cannot come fast enough. Time is slow. When your heart breaks for something that your passion is so tightly wrapped up in, it is nearly impossible to know how to heal. And when you think that it might be coming, it just turns out to be a solitude that seems useless to those around you, and that makes isolation look like a good place. I pray this isn’t true, I pray with my whole heart that resolution is around the next couple revolutions of the hands.
We spring forward on Sunday, and the lenten season is upon us, so I pray that the better days are recognized with the seasons change.
Cheers to better days

Strings

So, I put new strings on my guitar for the first time since August, I was going for 6 months, it was terrible. Any way, The slow decline of strings fools you actually. I thought they sounded great until I compared them to new strings. I am an idiot. I play it for 20 hours a week at least, and I went 6 months!
All this to say, I am going to be recording some better quality stuff soon, so check it out on here once I start.

Cheers,
Lucas Michael Roberts

Question A poem in remembrance of Bridget Milius (1962-2011)
May you rest in Peace my friend

Who can know the heart of God
His Mind, so hard to tell…
who goes?
who stays?
why now?
…and my heart questions, simply
why?
A life so strong, though broken at times.
Love came and went, A spirit bent
Fractured even: But a mind so sure
Adversity cannot take dreams away.
So let it fuel a drive for more
You found new life, mended the breaches
Love given away brings the brightest days.
A daughter to embrace, redirected your Way
Fight Firm for what makes your life complete
Hold it tight while you sleep
You came full circle
Your freedom falling so easily each day.
‘Never give up’ —your final say.
Your complexities leave deep echoes
for those who were priviledged to
share your air, feel your pain, witness your courage
Partake in your laughter
forever changed.
